‘Seas’ The Day

For me a trip to Greece would not be complete without a day or two sailing. I love the peaceful atmosphere and the calming movement of the yacht. The heat of the day just melts away in the cool sea breeze.

When sailing you experience such beautiful views from pine clad hills to golden beaches and endless sea. The freedom of being able to access any pristine beach and cove you see, some of them only accessible from the water, is unbeatable.

I spent a day on a sailing boat with my family, the lovely Lena and our skipper Kris. After a morning gently cruising along the coast, we dropped anchor in a empty cove for a spot of lunch and some snorkeling. It is blissful to have a beach to yourself and be able to take that time to relax. We were treated to various fruits and a selection of Greek treats and dined under the cliff-side Cicadas chorus.

The yacht had a cute cabin below should a nap be necessary, however with weather like that, the deck of the yacht is a much better shout.

I always try to pack light for outings such as this. My sailing essentials are (the 3 S’s):

1.SPF

2.Sunglasses

3.Sun hat

I could say ‘the 4 S’s’ because you can’t forget a smile! I also brought my pearl earrings from Asos and my lip-gloss from Chanel to glam it up a little bit.

Stay smiling:)
