Stylish, Fresh, Blue

I love blue, I wear it a lot from the palest, baby blue to the dark indigos. It can be both classic and formal to cool and preppy.

When I saw this coat I couldn’t resist it, as it is smart and tailored with this seasons on trend flared sleeves.

I styled this outfit for a shopping trip to Bicester Village, wanting to look smart but not to formal.

It was a lovely early summer day, sunny with a slight chill in the air but the promise of a warmer afternoon. With this in mind I chose to wear a sheer bodysuit and layered one of my favourite sleeveless tops with fine stripes and pleats over. One of the things I love about this top are the ribbons to tie under the armhole, they make it feel girly.

I didn’t want to take away from the stripes so chose to wear a simple black skirt with black tights and my much loved above the knee black boots, which have a small block heel-perfect for chic comfort. This outfit could easily be made more casual by swapping the skirt and tights for jeans, pairing with espadrilles and a denim jacket (not the same colour as your jeans!).

What I’m wearing: Skirt and bodysuit by Asos, tights by Aristoc, boots by Stuart Weitzman, top and coat by Zara, bag by Givenchy
