Patterns are always a must for summer and gingham has always been one of fashions favourite patterns. This summer it’s all about gingham.

Gingham is a print I will always love, it reminds me of childhood, school uniforms and picnic blankets. It is pretty and preppy while still being cool and even chic if you accessorize it well.

Gingham is not only pretty, it’s classic, as seen on Monroe looking stylish in her gingham capri pants and Audrey Hepburn in her cigarette trousers. It is a timeless look and looks fabulous in all colours, blue being my favourite.

Team it with a plain coordinating colour or stripes, which have been exceptionally big this season. I styled my gingham skirt with a striped oversized shirt and tied it at the front for a more summery vibe.

I love the two patterns together, they look fresh and sassy!

I styled my outfit with pink fluffy sliders covered in pearl detailing and a pair of baby pink sunnies. To tie my outfit together I added my favourite pearl earrings.

If you don’t usually wear pattern, gingham is a great and safe way to start! It looks great on anyone!
