That unique party look wouldn’t be complete without a bit of glitter! I want to show you how I achieved a glamorous look with that special touch.

Before you start always make sure your skin is well moisturised as the glitter won’t hold as well to dry skin.

For my makeup I started by applying my everyday primer and foundation.

For the eyes apply a primer to the eyelids (my go to is Urban Decay’s primer, it never fails and helps your makeup last all night). Start by selecting your favourite smoky eye shadows, I have used a variety of Bobbi Brown eye shadows including “Rich Brown”, “Cement”,“espresso” and “Velvet bronze” using the darkest one as my eyeliner. For the shimmer I used a Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in “24 Karat”. Next, put on your lashes and apply mascara.

Finally and most importantly, apply the glitter. I recently discovered GoGetGlitter and thought it was perfect for events such as festivals and parties as the glitter itself is different shapes and sizes! For this event I chose their “Metallic Classic” set with a gold, bronze and silver glitter. To apply use the GoGetGlitter glue that comes as part of the set using a old paintbrush and then use your fingers and the brush to apply the glitter, applying more where intense areas are desired. I took the glitter past my hairline to create a more dramatic look.
